I am reassured and relieved to find others sharing some of my most significant values and notions, including even a sense of connection with the non-human world and an appreciation of one of my favorite contemporary poets, Mary Oliver. My needs for community, belonging, sharing, and celebration are met in this moment, allowing me to smile with pleasure. I have also begun learning about restorative circles, beginning in a recent NVC Training with Shantigabra and Jessica Danceingheart, and evolving as I see how restorative ideas and processes resonate with with my OD background, educational philosphy, and Shamanistic beliefs and practices.
